July of this year, two Parker Automation Divisions--Electromechanical North
America (EMN) and SSD Drives North America (SSDN)--merged to form the Electromechanical & Drives Division. The
new division headquarters are now in Charlotte, NC.
New Product Releases 2015 was a busy year for Parker's Electromechanical & Drives Division.
Electromechanical & Drives Division had a number of major product releases
during the year, including:
manufacturing of the complete line of High Moment Rodless (HMR)
electromechanical linear actuator series. “This move will serve to greatly
improve product lead times as well as offering greater levels of customer
support and customization options,” explained Jeremy Miller, Parker’s Linear
Mechanics Product Manager.

As the automation industry grows, more and more machine
builders, OEMS, and end-users rely on Parker products. Among the demonstrations
of this trend is the media, which continued to focus on Parker
electromechanical solutions in 2015. Here are just a few of the stories they covered.

Parker posted a number of videos this year—some produced
in-house, and others produced by those wanting to share our technology with their
followers. In this video, for example, Design World editors Lisa Eitel and Paul
Heney show an ETT linear motor—specifically, the ETT032 actuator. The ETT is an
energy-efficient alternative to pneumatic cylinders because it directly
generates linear motion without mechanical transmission elements like
ballscrews and gearboxes.
